Reilly Paugh, Veterinary Assistant & Reception

Reilly Paugh was born and raised on her family’s farm on the outskirts of south Nanaimo, where her love for horses grew as fast as she did. Growing up around horses and livestock paved the way for Reilly’s life-long dream of working along side animals, big and small. After spending years hanging over her own farrier’s shoulder, Reilly decided to attend Kwantlen Polytechnic University for advanced farriery, graduating with honours in 2018. After returning to the island to pursue a career with her equine partners, Reilly decided to expand on her passion working in the equine industry. That is when she met Dr. Tyler Stitt and Dr. Jessica Semper. Reilly started her job as Veterinary assistant and receptionist for Winchelsea Veterinary Services in early October of 2019 and could not be happier coming to work everyday and always learning something new.

While working for Winchelsea Veterinary Service’s full-time, and shoeing horses on the weekends. Reilly is constantly looking for ways to further her education, with the goal in mind of bettering the lives of our equine companions.  Aside from her career, Reilly hopes to pursue her goals under saddle with her mare Izzy and continue to better her skills at the anvil.
